Im starting to post some pictures from last year, They are done for total war game. This is a huge 18th centure battle somewhere in Scotland. It was a bit hard picture for me because the numbers of soldiers.
Very hard to paint the right atmospere, I was almost lost in the lines of men. Some of the important soldiers are done with the help of my friend chris, who can paint humans really good. Atmosphere was most important in this work, so rain and wind cant stop the british infantry from figting.
<Sigh> I know. I visited the battlefield and read the history. I'd rather not have to give a history lesson about the "Young Pretender" and the Duke of Cumberland and pick at the details of the actual history. The idea was to possible show the "Highland Clans' Last Charge". A suggestion for a picture that depicts English (Redcoats) and Scots (Highland Garb) in a battle action scene.
well done sir(not sarcasm)but do you agree that many think the rebellion was england vs scotland.was a great pic and i agree wi u.want more of the same.peace out
Yes, I do agree. Many do see the Jacobite Rebellions as plainly Scotland vs. England. It was more complicated than that. The last Jacobites Uprising had French and Irish fighting for them as well as the Highland Scottish. The British Army had Scots, Irish, German, Welsh, and English on their side. It was the last sad chapter in the Fall of the House of Stewarts.
