The Fire by RadoJavor The Fire by RadoJavor
My most complicated picture in last time. But also my favourite theme again. I spend days on paintig just the fire and light effect on this picture. The goal was make a monumental painting like in the old times.
For history fans it is a battle in Vigo bay between spanish and british fleet. All ships should be historicall correct as in begining of 18th century.
The whole picture was done in about 35 hours stretched in about 3 months. Just photoshop+ wacom intous.
Please bear in mind Its a Creative Assembly copyright .

Thanks for any comments.

The fire effects in this are amazing, and the texture of the billowing smoke looks so realistic.  If you were going for monumental painting, you succeeded.  This wouldn't look out of place in an art museum.  :D

Very beautiful! Empire: Total War is one of my favorite games (I believe I have 350+ hours logged on it from a single campaign, conquering the world as the Polish), so I saw these loading pictures a lot. This one always moved me the most. The fire from the flames give it such energy. I didn't fight many naval battles, my venetian allies did that for me, but this picture always managed to hammer in how badly I failed if I suffered defeat.
